The owner and founder of PLACED BY LEAH, Leah Eggert, received her B.A. from the University of South Florida and her M.F.A. from CSU, Long Beach. Leah traces her interest in organizing to a moment when she was 8 years old and asked her best friend if she could organize her closet. The interest continued and peaked when she completed her third cross-country move with her young family. She was left wondering, “why have we accumulated so much stuff?” Packing, unpacking and storing unnecessary belongings became a full time job time, robbing her of time to enjoy her friends and family. After the last move, she made a commitment to herself to breathe simplicity into her life. Over the course of a year, she pared down the families belongings by 50% and starting spending the time she had previously used accumulating and storing stuff to enriching her life with experiences and creating memories.

Leah’s friends and family took notice of the change and became inspired. She started receiving multiple requests to help those close to her organize and reimagine their spaces. This enabled Leah to help others create the lives they desired. She was surprised to see just how much stress and tension diminished once a space was clear of clutter and organized in an efficient and coherent manner. These experiences led to the birth of PLACED BY LEAH.
